ARTIST STATEMENT

Exploring the delicate choreography between containment and emergence, this installation speaks to the delicate process of becoming – not as a linear progression, but as a gradual unfurling of self.

In moments of profound self-recognition, we understand that we are never truly static – we exist in constant flux, perpetually unfolding into new versions of ourselves. The theory of becoming teaches us that existence is a continuous state of transformation.

These pieces celebrate not the destination of “completion,” but the stunning disarray of transpiring. The architectural dialogue with the Gallery space symbolises both the expansion and hesitation to reveal a grail I am nurturing.

A testament to the growth I have experienced over the past year, through moments of doubt or confusion I found trust in myself. Trust in an invisible process, a sensation of remaining. I feels complete alignment with the theoretical teachings I hinge my creative practice on, an embodiment of her convictions.

Through layers of acrylic paint, abstract forms emerge and dissolve, echoing the fluid nature of self-evolution. The paintings serve as both witness and participant in this ongoing dialogue between stasis and growth.
